We are enrolling healthy Black or Hispanic young adults to test their lung function and obtain imaging to determine factors in young adulthood which might affect lung health later in life.

Respiratory health may be determined by multiple risk factors which can influence either peak lung function in young adulthood (pulmonary “reserve”) or the rate of decline in lung function (pulmonary “susceptibility”). This may ultimately contribute to the development of chronic respiratory disease.

If you participate, you will come for the initial visit to do questionnaires, blood work, nasal sample, lung function test and low dose CT of chest. Then you will be followed for 5 year period, where you will be contacted every 3-6 months remotely (via phone, text or email). You will be compensated up to $350 for your participation.
